Gum Former

A gum former is a small metallic component temporarily placed on the implant after osseointegration. Its purpose is to gently shape the gum contour around the future crown to ensure a natural and aesthetic appearance.

This outpatient procedure is quick and performed under local anesthesia. The gum former is worn for 1–2 weeks, after which the next stage follows — placement of the abutment and crown.
